私のモデルカーのページにお越しいただきありがとうございます。

私が最初に 1/43 モデルカーに接したのは、2003 年の冬に出張先のロンドンでたまたま　St. Martins というミニカー屋を見つけて入ったのが始まりです。今まで見たことのない、小さく、しかし精巧にできたミニカーにすっかり魅せられてしまいました。まったく知識もなかったのですが、とりあえず目に留まった Messerschmitt KR500 と New Mini を買って帰りました。

出張から帰ってきてネットで検索をしてみると、そこには今まで知らなかったすばらしい世界が。散財のはじまりです。最初は EWA でダイキャストを購入、しばらくすると eBay に入り浸るようになり、メーカー完成品、そしてキットへと興味の範囲は広がっていきました。

私の住んでいるシアトルには　1/43 モデルカーを扱っているお店は皆無です。聞いたところによるとアメリカの東海岸の方が西海岸に比べてもう少しポピュラーなようですが、いずれにせよアメリカでは（も？）マイナーな趣味です。ネットを通じて同好のかたがたと情報交換できればよいなと思っています。

Welcome to my model car page.

I saw 1/43 miniature cars for the first time at a shop named "St. Martins" in London in winter 2003 when I was there for business trip. I was very fascinated by these detailed miniatures I've never seen. I bought Messerschmitt KR 500 and New Mini.

Back in my home, I've searched information about 1/43 miniatures on the net and found quite a lot of information. Since then I've been spending lots of money on these tiny things. First I got die-casts at EWA, then factory built models at eBay, and finally started buying kits.

I live in Seattle and there's no shop that deals 1/43 models in here. I heard that this hobby is rather popular in the east coast, but I believe it's still fairly minor hobby in USA. I hope I get to know many of other modelers.
